Kaluga entrepreneurs assessed the prospects for entering the African market.
On January 28, the Kaluga Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a meeting of local business representatives dedicated to the specifics and opportunities of doing business in Africa. The event was organized by Odunlami Serge Phocas,, President of the ANO "House of Africa" and Chairman of the "Africa Calling" Business Club.
Meeting participants had a unique opportunity to learn about the business environment on the continent and receive recommendations for establishing exports of goods and services to Africa. Experts shared their experiences in successfully organizing commercial transactions, discussed the most in-demand products and services, necessary precautions, and effective ways to interact with local partners.
Particular attention was paid to the high rates of population growth and consumption of food and raw materials, which offer broad opportunities for businesses in the Kaluga Region. Today, Africa is demonstrating a sustained interest in industrial development and investment projects, opening up new markets for domestic producers.
Following the event, entrepreneurs noted the high level of preparation for the meetings, the positive atmosphere, and the usefulness of the information received. Participants unanimously expressed their willingness to develop cooperation with their African colleagues, strengthen economic ties, and explore new areas of foreign economic activity.
The organizers plan to continue holding events of this format, supporting local companies' efforts to actively expand their geographic presence and thrive in a globalizing economy.
