The President of the ANO "House of Africa" spoke at the international forum THE TRENDS

Moscow, November 19, 2025 — Today, at the 5th International Forum and Exhibition THE TRENDS, Serge Phocas Odunlami, Chairman of the Business Club for Entrepreneurs and Top Managers of Eurasia and Africa, delivered a presentation. The forum focused on current investment and technology issues.

The speaker focused on the international payment system and its role in the face of global economic turmoil. His presentation was titled: "Africa Calling! International Payments in an Era of Political and Economic Turbulence."

Serge Phocas Odunlami emphasized the importance of the African continent for the global market due to its high potential for economic growth and abundant natural resources. Despite attractive investment conditions, project implementation in Africa is complicated by a number of factors:

  • Political instability, which creates additional financial risks and increases transaction costs.
  • Economic fluctuations, which increase transaction uncertainty due to changes in prices, inflation, and exchange rates.
  • Regulatory differences complicate companies' operations and increase operational costs.

Nevertheless, Odunlami expressed confidence in the region's promising development prospects and called for investment in key areas of infrastructure, education, and new technologies, which will overcome existing barriers and create optimal conditions for successful interaction between Russian and African businesses.

The speaker also thanked the event organizers for the opportunity to express his opinion and proposed jointly exploring effective ways to implement initiatives aimed at creating reliable channels for mutually beneficial financial relations between countries in the Eurasian and African regions.

Thus, THE TRENDS international forum once again confirmed its importance as a venue for productive dialogue and effective cooperation between the business communities of different countries.
